Whenever I need motivation for school work, I watch the musical again, songs like `Chip on your shoulder` `So much better` and `Legally blonde reprise` always motivate me! With the right complexion, blue eyes and attitude, Boyce was happy and ready to be blonde. Her eyebrows didn`t even need treatment, Evangelista noted, they`re natural. Why did she do it? Boyce said: “I thought I saw myself the same way for so long. To see me in a new way would be so great. It`s summer, an opportunity to try something new. I couldn`t miss it. Elle Woods is one of those characters that should be a cliché – she`s girly, loves Rosa more than healthy, and carries a cute little dog named Bruiser everywhere she goes, a la Paris Hilton. She was designed to take on the stereotypical mute blonde, but at the beginning of the film, we don`t see much more than her “female” interest in fashion and style and her obsession with her ex-boyfriend Warner Huntington III (played by Matthew Davis). To celebrate on the Early Show, co-host Hannah Storm wore Reese Witherspoon`s pink outfit, a blonde wig, and wore it in a Fifi & Romeo dog carrier with a Chihuahua with vintage pink cashmere. Storm wasn`t the only blonde though, makeover guru David Evagelista gave first-time watchdog Heather Boyce a blonde makeover. Now that she`s blonde and Boyce has to take care of her hair differently, Evangelista said: “Lockdown conditions are still indispensable. Before going swimming. Before going to the pool, rinse your hair with tap water.
Iron will repel all chemicals. It took him eight hours to turn her from brunette to blonde. “Don`t try it at home. It`s a very long process,” Evangelista said, noting that you need to have the right complexion to look beautiful as a blonde. Since the release of Legally Blonde in 2001, the appreciation of this film has only grown. Although it did not receive positive reviews from critics, aside from praise for Reese Witherspoon`s phenomenal work as the main character Elle Woods, Legally Blonde was an instant hit with fans, especially young girls. And now that many of these girls have become women, a deeper appreciation of the greatness of this film`s message. Witherspoon said in a 2017 interview with the Wall Street Journal, “At least once a week, a woman comes up to me and says, `I went to law school for Legal Blonde. With a third film coming up, a Broadway play, and a famous pop star paying tribute to Elle Woods, Legally Blonde has had a positive and lasting impact. If you`re blonde, this is your day! Hair care experts at Vidal Sassoon salons across North America offer free “Flash of Blonde” hair dye treatments. She sums up her journey of change for her classmates and for us viewers. Having confidence in ourselves is important to make amazing changes in our lives.
While waiting for her therapy (manicure), she reads the story of the fiancé of her ex-boyfriend`s brother and has a revelation that makes her want to change careers. She calls the woman next to her, who has this to say. Again very innocent and polite, Elle Warner shows him his place and tells him that she is above him and realizes what a manipulative and selfish guy he is. It felt good to see her return it to him and not ask for his attention. While discussing a case study, she makes this argument in support of her position (which was the opposite of her ex`s), which also impresses Professor Callahan. Later, we learn that it was something else that impressed Callahan. When she arrived at Harvard (what, how hard is it?), her classmates didn`t take her seriously because she was dressed all in pink and wore those fluffy pens around the Clueless. Although she swapped her miniskirts for hats and blazers, it was a bit silly because she was just as smart (if not smarter) than her classmates all the time. Elle Woods is a good friend. The bond with her sisters of the Sisterhood is so close that two of her closest friends even travel across the country to be there and support her during her first review at the end of the film. The film is filled with all sorts of heartwarming expressions of friendship and kindness.
Elle`s passion and ambition are inspiring, but that passion is driven by her self-confidence. Seeing her find her teaches us that if we believe in ourselves and dedicate our time to what really matters to us, we can surpass our wildest dreams. And if we can combine the virtues of being true to ourselves, cultivating kindness and forgiveness, and never losing faith in ourselves, there`s not much we can`t do. A man (also a witness) gives Elle a taste of his own medicine when he asks her not to trample on him with his “Prada shoes from last season”. Although She is briefly surprised by this comment, she realizes something very important about the man who only helps Elle get the guy`s last laugh. In the first few minutes of the film, Elle shows us her knowledge, intelligence and unique ability to smell when a salesperson tries to put her in a discount dress. We also witness their cute way of delivering burns. I only recently joined. There are parts I don`t care about, but overall it`s surprisingly good and really eye-catching. I love the relationship between Elle and Emmett – much better than in the movie, and Christian Borle is always beautiful to watch.
😍 I love this musical! I have a big exam in front of me that will decide if I will graduate this year. Hearing “so much better” brings me to life for these nightly readings. I love this musical. I saw it a few years ago in college and I was worried, but it`s so much fun and the songs are aces! Elle Woods would be my dream role on stage, so much energy. Her: Oh Warner, remember when we spent those incredible four hours in the hot tub? Warner Huntington: Yes. No. Her: It`s so much better than that! Once again, it burns in a very harmless way that puts Warner in its place. Elle`s love for fashion and style and her femininity are never things she sacrifices for others. Rather, it is these things that define her personality and who she is – and later even help her in unexpected ways during a trial. Her style does not limit her; It shines and colors everything it does, which encourages us to be the same. Believing that not only are our interests valid, but that they make us who we are and that they should be encouraged and celebrated.
This musical made me love musicals. In fact, I think Elle and Emmet are the best musical couple ever. I like all the songs, especially the more positive ones. I love this musical so much. One of the most iconic lines from this film, catapulting a relatively unknown chemical into the spotlight. And also helped Elle win her first case. Thank you, Elle, for the chemistry lesson! Of all the relationships in this film, the most envious is probably Paulette and The UPS Guy, whose real name is Kyle. Think about it – she literally broke his nose and somehow it was only part of her yard. Relational goals, that`s for sure.
Oh man, I remember seeing that when it aired on MTV. I feel old now. Professor Stromwell, who had already expelled Elle from his very first lecture, boosts his confidence with this memorable sentence. It reminded me of Professor McGonagall. Being smart doesn`t just have one definition, and if anyone can prove it`s true, it`s Elle Woods. She taught us that skills learned in one area of life can be adapted to other situations. (Keep this in mind the next time someone tells you that your chosen college major is “worthless.”) Elle`s 4.0 in fashion merchandising came in handy when she was rightfully killed in that infamous courtroom scene.
