2. No person may operate a ship on a body of water of that State which tows one or more persons on water skis, surfboards or similar equipment, or engage in water skiing, surfing or similar activities between sunset and sunrise. 4. No person may use or manipulate a ship, tow rope or any other device likely to influence or control the direction or position of water skis, surfboards or similar devices in such a way that water skis, surfboards or any similar equipment or any person therein collides with an object or person or person therein. 1. No person may drive a ship over a State for the purpose of towing one or more persons on water skis, surfboards or similar devices, unless the ship includes, in addition to the operator, a person capable of observing the progress of the person to be towed or of the towed persons: unless the vessel is equipped with a ski mirror approved by the Boating Safety Service. 3. The provisions of paragraphs 1 and 2 of this Section shall not apply to a performer participating in an occupational exhibition or to any person or person carrying on an activity authorized under Article 306.130.
