Fireworks Legal in Act

Fireworks may only be used in ATT fireworks (including small fireworks performed as part of a show or ceremony) if: Persons who wish to use these types of fireworks in the exhibit but do not hold an ACT ACT Deployment Vehicle Operator Permit must contact WorkSafe ACT prior to filing an application to verify that they can meet the requirements of the request. In March 1997, a new CPSC standard came into effect, prohibiting large, unstable fireworks with multiple pipes.

This standard is designed to eliminate the deadly danger of tipping over that killed two innocent bystanders, including a 3-year-old boy, at family gatherings. To prevent injuries caused by fireworks incidents, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) enforces federal laws prohibiting the sale of the most dangerous types of fireworks to consumers.
