I`m a new alex G fan and I`ve been browsing his albums on Spotify. Correct me if I`m wrong, but it seems like the general consensus among fans is that people seem to like stuff about rules, but I love rules. Trick is also great, but it doesn`t hit me as hard as the rules. I only compare them because they came out the same year. I`d like to hear some thoughts on these two records that one of the Fader Fort in South By is the best version of an Alex G song that was “Molly” like 8 years ago, my sister and I listened to Elvis depressed and starry cat and we had made a playlist of songs so we could take a nap, and Molly came while we heard her, and we totally fell in love with Alex and the rest of his music. We finally met him at a show last year (and he accepted our request for Harvey!!) and it was such a great moment when the circle 🙂 Rules isn`t my favorite, but now I just want to buy it for Gorilla TBH Alex G`s best song, just too sacred classic. When I think of Alex G, do I really think of Sandy as her signature song? I`m thinking of kickers. Every time I show Alex G to someone, I play this song to them. I haven`t found anyone who doesn`t like him yet.
Pretty sure mine was proud or Bobby after hearing him in a Cavetown vlog. but I didn`t even hear Rocket during that time, just a trick. Then I diversified and discovered that my favorite artist of all time was mine, Maria! He appeared every week on My Discovery, and then I started listening to his other stuff. I was so fascinated by how stupid but cool Alex was screaming. The rest is history. I love this man and his music so much. Mine was either Change or Animals, I don`t remember it very well. Honestly, Sandy is good, but better on this album.
idk on the awesome. I never thought I`d be so excited about the 69withdad videos in an incredibly tight tour, with an unexpected turn of events, because he`s a monkey man and he wants you to take him to monkey land, he`s an ape man with no other plans. I`ve said it before, but nagw. I took an optional audio production class in my final year of high school (2012) and had this very weird guy sitting next to me. We had to do a simulated radio show and choose the songs. I had to do commercials and present each song. We did “lo-fi” radio (which I haven`t heard much about yet, more like alternative rock, but not lofi stuff.) and we called it Tin-Can radio. He delivered 9 of the 10 songs we put on lol. He showed me some of my favorite artists to date. Alex G, Mac Demarco, when he was still on videotape, Peter Sagar, when he was AIDS-free, before playing with Mac and then launching Homeshake. Beach Fossils and a number of other great bands that have directly influenced the music I write and listen to today. Such a big impact from a foreigner who had just moved from Florida to my school in California.
He barely said a word to me all year, but he showed me amazing music. Anyway, he played me naw and I was instantly hooked. Alex only had the race and had just set up rules. After that, I listened to them almost every day. He had them on Bandcamp, I remember before Spotify was big and there were really smaller artists. He had a show on his tour section, a dive bar in Colorado lol and I wanted to see him so badly. It`s crazy how big he is now. Very proud of my boy. I like the way everyone thinks another album is the darkest. I would say beach music, but they are all pretty grumpy. Break, I heard it in an indie mixtape on YouTube in 2015 and I fell in love Just before the release of Beach Music, I went through a phase where I was trying to find new music.
I just kept clicking on the YouTube sidebar, starting with Elvis Deprimedly`s Holo Pleasures. And there I thought I could skip this vote because put was in the bag 😔 Winner undermined a pretty dark tone throughout the case. Really underrated album. I`m pretty sure I found Change and got hooked, and then I immediately clicked on that video. Equal! Mary and then I listened to Trick in its entirety and I was hooked, I must say that this is objectively her best song, but probably my favorite was the water waking up with a hangover on a couch at 8908 while the drummer OG of Teen Suicide was on the floor with a cassette player. Maybe Harambe lol? I don`t know if the timing is good or not waiting for you, it has already been played on my Spotify radio and I checked the rest of the DSU and thought it was Lofi Jazz lol 2 years ago, top of my balls on Californian grass with which my friend came back, in his garden at 2 a.m. on a beautiful cool Florida night in winter and the snot has arrived. immediately addicted It`s surprising to me. Mis is like in Alex`s Top 5 songs in general, but I would call Sandy Top 10, so I`m not too disappointed Brit Boy. I stumbled upon it accidentally after adding it to one of my high school playlists.
